The Diary is an architecturally striking and unique barn location set in the heart of rural Herefordshire, offering a blend of historic character and modern minimalism. Once a working threshing barn owned by the Duchy of Cornwall Estate, it has been meticulously restored to celebrate its agricultural heritage while embracing contemporary design.
It’s triple-height central space, framed by exposed beams and original stone walls, is bathed in natural light from expansive east- and west-facing windows. The barn’s neutral, minimalist interiors provide a series of versatile backdrops.
The Diary offers a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The enclosed courtyard, designed with carefully chosen materials that complement the barn’s rustic aesthetic, creates a tranquil and intimate setting. The retained historic features, large opposing doors, narrow slot windows, and timber framework, blend effortlessly with modern steel-framed glazing and contemporary finishes. A loved a family home, which is also adaptable as a creative space and location house.
